The State Museum of Pennsylvania is the Commonwealth's official repository for archaeological collections, including those unearthed as a result of compliance with state and federal preservation mandates. This searchable database contains a list of artifact collections housed in the Section of Archaeology at The State Museum of Pennsylvania. Use of the collections is encouraged, but all potential users must first submit a written proposal outlining research interests. Upon a proposal’s acceptance, Archaeology Section staff will contact the submitter and set a visitation schedule.
